Like many of you, my main goal as a parent is to teach my children our family's core values & guide them to become the person God created them to be.  One thing I love about homeschooling is it allows me to sew those values in throughout our days, and the time together helps me see in each of them what God given talent they have (which we can freely nurture and develop within our homeschooling).  It also eases my Mama's heart to need not worry about how they are doing during their day (a secret about me: I am a worrier!).  Don't tell my family I admitted that (hehe).

Incorporating our Catholic Faith
Of our core values, the top priority of mine is ensuring my children grow in faith in God.  I use many opportunities in our homeschool day to incorporate our Catholic faith.  I point out God's love for us not only in our Religion classes but also within other core subject areas.

Establishing a Love for Learning
Another core value of mine is to encourage my children to develop a love for learning.  I try to ensure we take every opportunity to create "learning moments", both inside and outside school hours.

The ability to tailor how and what I teach is something I cherish about homeschooling.  My teaching evolves each year as each child's needs change and grow.
